University College Dublin (UCD) and Auranta’s partnership with them was instrumental for the early success of the company. Auranta was a member of UCD’s incubator programme in NovaUCD. This provided our Research & Development team with a fully equipped laboratory. This lab was vital during the early stage of development of our products.
Today, we have continued to grow our Research & Development network. We do this by forming strategic partnerships with various research institutes across the globe.
Our partners include:
- Agriculture Food Bioscience Institute (AFBI) in Belfast
- London School of Tropical Medicine
- Banat Veterinary Medicine
- King Saul University (Saudi Arabia) and Edinburgh University
We also have academic and commercial links with veterinarians in different parts of the world.
The scientific backbone of Auranta is a team of biotech pioneers, focused on the research and development of our animal feed ingredients.
- Patrick Ward – microbiological researcher
- Nicolae Corcionivoschi – bacteriologist & virologist
- Tom Barragry – veterinarian & pharmacologist
The team has produced multiple peer-reviewed publications regarding the microbiological efficacy of the Auranta feed additive technology. Topics include the fight against, among others, E.coli, Cryptosporidium, Mycoplasma, Campylobacter and Listerioses.
Research is a vital and ongoing process that allows Auranta to demonstrate the positive impact of our feed ingredients on the immune system. We strive for continued growth by further expanding our scientific knowledge. Ultimately, our aim is to contribute to – and shape the future of – agriculture.
